Brass framed, boxlock, percussion pocket pistol, circa 1840. Turn off barrel. Sprung, concealed trigger in w/order. Centrally mounted hammer with sliding safety. Makers named "J & G Gibbs, Bristol" to side plates with acanthus scrolling. British proofs to barrels & frame. Good chequered bag shaped grips with silver escutcheon. Action in GWO on both 1st and 2nd cock.
