A German Third Reich first pattern DLV/NSFK flyers or glider pilot's dagger and sheath, by Carl Julius Krebs Solingen, with 18cm blade and nickel fittings, overall length 31cm, with hanger.
The scabbard throat is stamped with the NSFK Icarus insignia.
The scabbard has faint scratch engraved numbers and name to one side.
The blade has signs of old corrosion that has been polished out.
