WW2 RAF Mk.IVB Flying Goggles in Original Box of Issue. A good pair of unissued Mk.IVB RAF flying goggles in the original card box and the associated accessories. the goggles have a good nice clean frame with original finish. loops and strap system in good condition and nicely stamped upon the leather strap ' AM' and the Crown with 'MK.IVB' and stores Ref Number. Flip shield visor in situ. the face cushion pads of which there are four have all perished and melted due to storage. chamois leather centre nose piece. The lenses have a marbling to them and no longer clear. However the original replacements with in the card box still remain and could be changed out. Within the box the metal frame work to be sewn upon the helmets themselves and rivets are included. Great complete set with original 'AM' marked box. age related wear from storage.
