A fine, rare and unusual Jugendstil porcelain figure: an exuberant Circe with leopards; the female form in bisque, her hair and the animals base glazed; modelled by Karl Tutter (1883-1969) for the Bavarian Ceramics Co Hutschenreuther (transfer marked to underside of base) (27cm high).
Condition - very good.
Tutter was a noted modeller with a large portfolio of pieces, this particular figure was produced in several forms, notably with bears

* Condition report: In very good condition overall. There is no damage or restoration. There is one tiny firing flaw to the lower back of the figure's hair - please see photo.
