£4,200
1954 BSA Gold Star, 350cc, Clubman's Trim. Registration number OON 116. Frame number CB32 438. Engine number CB32. GS. 116.
Sold with the V5C and copy of the original Certificate of Engine Performance.
1953 saw the introduction of the BB series (BB32 – 350cc / BB34 – 500cc) with new duplex cradle frame and swinging arm rear suspension. These were followed in 1954 by the CB series with engine changes aimed primarily at the road racers. Immediate success was achieved in the Clubman's TT and this cycle of engine redesign and immediate success was repeated the following year with the DB series. The Senior TT was won by Eddie Dow who later went into business as Britain’s Gold Star Specialists providing a wide range of custom accessories.
OON has been owned by our vendor for some 50 years and has been well maintained and ridden at several race events. The performance certificate states it was specified as a Clubman with a straight trough exhaust. It retains its RRT gearbox and has Akront alloy rims; all in all a good unmolested example of a CB32 350cc Goldie.
