A Minton pâte-sur-pâte vase and cover by Alboin Birks, circa 1910, the shouldered ovoid form body falling to a swept foot with upper slender collar neck, having applied acanthus scroll handles, the body decorated with a large oval roundel depicting a female in flowing classical robes attended by a cherub before fine trees, to the opposing side a further panel with a flower filled basket suspended from a bough, both within relief paste gilded borders against a pale salmon pink ground with further gilded floral sprays, signed in monogram to the body, impressed and printed marks to the base, height 23cm.
