GEORGE III OAK AND MAHOGANY CROSSBANDED CHEST OF DRAWERS, the oblong top above two short and three long drawers, fitted with swan neck brass handles, flanked by fluted quarter columns to the fore corners, and raised on ogee bracket feet, 38 ½” (97.7cm) high, 40 ¼” x 20 ½” (102.2cm x 52cm)
C/R-Top-joint splits and unevenness to the boards, minor losses and lifting to the crossbanding
Left side-faded to upper section- see images and minor joint splits
Right side-bad split to the back, tapering and mis-shaped- see images
Front- faded, drawer stops either worn or missing and usual losses to the crossbanding, splits and minor losses to the upper section of the right split column
