A gem-set butterfly brooch in 18ct gold, the stylised butterfly with scrolled wings featuring two carved sapphire cabochons, fluted thorax and eyes encrusted with old-cut diamonds, and a baroque pearl abdomen, brooch fittings and trombone clasp to the back, with a detachable antenna bail, signed Bernadine Jacot, maker's mark Joe Cattermole, London 1993, drop length 6.0 cm (together with bail), 43.3 grams; on an associated cable link chain of 41.0 cm long, unmarked metal testing as 9ct, 6.4 grams.
