Ancient Greek: Thrace, Odessus silver Tetradrachm of Mithradates VI Eupator of the Kingdom of Pontus c.125-70 BC, imitating types of Alexander the Great but believed to bear the likeness of Mithradates. Head of Mithradates VI Eupator as Heracles right, wearing lion skin headdress. / BAΣIΛEΩΣ / AΛEΞANΔPOY, Zeus seated left on backless throne, right leg drawn back, feet on ground line, eagle in outstretched right hand, grounded scepter in left; ΛΑKΩ in left field, OΔH in exergue. Price 1193. 16.10g. VF with a large anomaly in centre of obverse, possibly a test punch though reverse does not seem disturbed.
