JS(AC)37 Royal Auxiliary Air Force Covers Signed Air Chief Marshal Sir John Barraclough, and J Keatings. 12 Jun 89 BFPS 2203 Presentation of a Colour by HM the Queen to the Royal Auxiliary Air Force at RAF Benson. Flown in BAe 146 of the Queens Flight from St Helier, Jersey to London Cover depicts Royal Auxiliary Air Force Regiment Air Movements and Aeromedical Evacuation Squadrons and Royal Auxiliary Air Force Badge. The Royal Auxiliary Air Force was formed in 1925 and in September 1939 there were 30 Flying Squadrons and 47 Balloon squadrons. Their World War 11 achievements were honoured by the prefix Royal conferred by HM King George V1 in 1947. The Royal Auxiliary Air Force s current roles include Airfield Defence, Air Movements and Aeromedical service. Personally Signed.
