Personally signed by The Westland Scott Helicopter Pilot Capt T M Ogston Luftwaffe aces Oscar Romm KC 229 missions, 54 fighter bomber sorties. 92 victories, Fredrich Lang KC, OL S (1008 missions)and In 1939, called up for active duty in the Luftwaffe. His first combat mission as an assault glider pilot came on May 10, 1940, helping to take three bridges across the Albert Canal in Belgium on the same day when Fort Eben Emael was captured In 1941, he was transferred to Germany's rocket research centre in Peenemünde as the test pilot for the delta wing research aircraft Me-163A. Two years later, he was assigned Project Pilot for the next design, the first rocket powered fighter aircraft, the Me-163B. In December 1944, he took command of the II Fighter Squadron/ 400 Rocket Fighter Group. Now, all the knowledge gained in flying and in operating of delta wing aeroplanes, powered and unpowered, was put to full use. Also Signed by Colonel France W Klibbe USAF. Graduated as a pilot in April 1943 and assigned to the 56th Fighter Group 61st Sqn and arrived at Halesworth UK in September 1943.
