1852 (June 16) Printed "Junior United Services Club, London" letter confirming election to the club, signed by Ensign William Whitmore, 56th Foot, unusually posted from Bermuda to England prepaid 1/-, with red "ST. GEORGES - BERMUDA / PAID" first type datestamp with short side arcs, arrival datestamps of London and Morton-in-Marsh. Carried on the "Osprey" to Halifax, then by the "America" Packet to Liverpool.
