A LARGE ILLUMINATED INDIAN KASHMIRI QURAN, 19TH CENTURY
The manuscript opens and closes with richly illuminated double pages, resplendent with vibrant blue, gold, and pink floral and geometric motifs, all meticulously hand-painted. The Quran is bound in its original deep red leather cover, adorned with gilt central medallion, corner pieces, and border tooling.
