1935 "Edge Error" Raised Edge Proof Crown, George V (ESC 380, Bull 3657, S.4048). Graded PCGS PF62, nFDC, and presented in a Coinery Collection holder. Edge reads DECUS ANNO REGNI ET TUTAMEN XXV as a result of misplaced edge segments during the minting process. Rated R3 by Bull (formerly R5 in ESC) and missing from many advanced crown collections. The fields soft and almost matt-like to the obverse belying the mirrored appearance in hand. Soft red tones throughout. A rare coin and one with beautiful eye appeal.
