**Antique Japanese Meiji Period Satsuma Vase, Signed**

A finely crafted Japanese Satsuma pottery vase, dating to the Meiji Period (1868–1912), standing approximately 16 inches tall. This baluster-shaped vase features a tapered neck with a flared rim and a cream base glaze with characteristic fine crackle. Adorned with intricate hand-painted polychrome enamels, the vase depicts vibrant narrative figural scenes of courtiers or mythical characters, framed by floral and geometric motifs. Extensive gilding enhances the detailed patterns and borders. The base bears a signature, indicative of its attribution to an artist or workshop. This exquisitely detailed piece exemplifies traditional Meiji-era craftsmanship and holds significant decorative and cultural value.
