An 18th Century month going foliate marquetry inlaid long case clock, the 11 inch square brass dial signed Simon De Charmes, London, having secondary dial and calendar aperture, standing 83inches tall, in good clean condition, running in saleroom , strikes on a bell - reference page 79 Bailles Clock Makers of the world and Cescinsky and Webster English domestic clocks which lists Charmes as a noted maker one of the Huguenot refugees from France about 1700 to 1710
