A late 19th century Swiss ormolu singing bird box, with flower and scroll engraved case, catch operating the movement to reveal a rising lid and a singing bird above a pierced grill, width 3.75in. depth 2.5in. height 1.25in.

CONDITION: Overall looks to be in fair to good condition, gilding has a very slightly matted finish and is slightly rubbed, the back hinged door encloses an old and possibly original steel key, movement can be a little reluctant to start but when going does sing as it should, bird is plain gilt metal.
