Mosquito swarm in dinosaur-aged Burmese amber. From the mines of Kachin, Myanmar. Cretaceous circa 99 million years ago. A single Mosquito fossil in amber is a rarity, Mosquito remains in amber are uncommon compared to fungus gnats. To have a swarm is highly unusual.
