A FINE PAIR OF 17TH/18TH CENTURY JAPANESE IMARI PORCELAIN HALL VASES WITH LATER EUROPEAN ORMOLU MOUNTS the ovoid shouldered bodies and covers with standing Geisha finials above reversed richly decorated bodies with young ladies and birds in blooming chrysanthemum garden settings highlighted in gilding; on floral and leaf cast ormolu ornate square bases and scrolled splay feet, the gadrooned necks fitted metal body liners.
