A good quality Victorian gilt metal mounted walnut two tier open buffet, of breakfront form with mirror backs, the top with 3/4 pierced gallery, the tiers supported by turned columns, the whole raised on a plinth base, bears plate for T. H. Filmer & Sons, London (1835-1883) to verso, 106 cm x 35 cm x 103 cm h o/all
Metal fittings are loose in various areas but still attached and splitting on the metal trim in various areas. At the bottom gilt paint has dripped on to the wood. Numerous old scratches, chips, dents and splits to the surfaces and sides. Minor water damage to the bottom of the veneer.
