A small group of Liverpool and Lowestoft porcelain, 18th century, including 'H.P Class' wares, comprising a Pennington's 'Smoker's Valet' tea bowl and saucer, painted in polychrome, circa 1780, saucer 13.5cm diameter; a 'Scolding Woman' tea bowl, 8cm diameter; 'Drunken Family' tea bowl, 7.8cm diameter, and a Lowestoft tea bowl, over-decorated in red and gilt, 8.5cm diameter; James Pennington 'Cannonball' tea bowl, over-decorated with red and gilt, together with a Seth Pennington and John Part saucer, over-decorated in polychrome, 13.5cm diameter; and one further H.P Class type tea bowl, with a single figure standing before a tree, 8.4cm diameter (Seth Pennington saucer restored) (8)
1 - Smoker's Valet tea bowl and saucer - Slight descending hairline to tea bowl, wear to pattern on saucer, small glaze fault to rim of saucer. 2 - 'Scolding Woman' tea bowl - Minute nibbles around upper rim and one descending hairline 3 - One further H.P class tea bowl and saucer - chips to rim, cracked 4 'Drunken Family' tea bowl - One minute nibble to rim, some light scratches to interior 5 - Lowestoft tea bowl - Nibbles around foot rim, scratches to interior. 6 - Seth Pennington and John Part saucer - Badly stained yellow, various cracks and a repaired section to rim 7 - Cannonball tea bowl - No damages or repairs but some general wear around the rim and scratches to interior
