A Chinese Blue and White 'Dragon' Dish, Kangxi Mark. -
A circular Chinese blue and white porcelain dish, decorated with intricate cobalt blue motifs on a white ground. The obverse features a central medallion containing two five-clawed dragons amidst scrolling clouds and floral elements, encircled by a band of further dragons and scrolling lotus or floral vines extending to the rim. The reverse displays a similar scrolling floral pattern around the outer edge, with a single five-clawed dragon within a central medallion, adjacent to a six-character imperial reign mark in a double square. The mark reads "大清康熙年製" (Dà Qīng Kāngxī Nián Zhì), translating to "Made in the Kangxi reign of the Great Qing dynasty."
