AN EDWARD VII MIDSHIPMAN'S DIRK BY GIEVE, MATTHEWS AND SEAGRIVE. With a 45.5 cm tapering blade with pointed end, etched with Edward VII cypher and crowned fouled anchor, all amongst scrolling foliage. Marked for Gieve, Matthews & Seagrove, London, Portsmouth and Devonport. The cross piece with acorn finials, wire bound shagreen grip and lion's head pommel with ring. In a brass mounted leather scabbard engraved with initials J.W.M.S. 60 cm.
Slight marking to blade, looseness in leather scabbard and rubbing to mounts.
