An Antique Georgian hairwork and pearl mourning ring, circa 1810, the rectangular compartment containing remnants of hairwork and seed pearls covered with convex glass, surrounded by cut-down collet set split pearls, with finely fluted shank and closed back setting bearing dedication "Obit 23rd February 1814 Aged 27", setting height 12mm, size U, 3.4g
Surface of convex glass is quite heavily worn and abraded making it difficult to see hairwork inside and seed pearls are loose inside glass, some signs of green corrosion? visible on both shoulder joins of main head, otherwise very good condition for age, unmarked
