Ink on paper Signed and dated 1998 Paper size 29 x 41.5cm 'Terry and I had a conversation about his ‘process’ of painting, about trying to capture the feeling/ emotion of the experience rather than representing it, even in an abstract way - and this was something he quoted and attributed to Roger Hilton. After coffee in the house, we went back to the garden studio, and whilst I was selecting work for the gallery, he took a bamboo ‘stylus’, from the garden, sharpened the end, and wrote out the quote and signed it.'
