Percy G.H. Fender cricket archive: 1920's: A Surrey cricket sweater/ jumper, brown coloured bands, embroidered Prince of Wales Feathers, bearing a Jack Hobbs Ltd, Fleet Street, London, with a red label 42 and laundry ticket S3, long in the body.
Fender rarely wore what he was supposed to wear, either a team cap or sweater. Opting instead for a football goal keeper's style sweater with collar and extra long body. Streeton explains that he didn't need to wear glasses to play, or the ridiculous sweater, he chose to wear them so he would be instantly recognisable.
