An Art Deco platinum black opal and diamond ring, centrally set with round high cabochon black opal within openwork diamond shoulders, unmarked mount tests as platinum, setting height 13.4mm, size L, 4.8g
The opal has several surface chips along with a few dark dull patches and a crack visible on underside, otherwise opal has a very good play of colour showing reds greens blues oranges and yellows, all diamonds present, general wear to high points of settings, shank slightly thin with 1 small join mark
