A Victorian silver novelty naturalistic nutmeg grater, by Hilliard & Thomason, Birmingham 1859, modelled in the form of a strawberry, the exterior realistically decorated with achenes on a matt ground, ensuite with a contrasting polished leafy calyx, the hinged cover opens to reveal a hinged steel rasp, fully hallmarked to the interior flange, with duty mark struck to the silver rim housing the rasp, length 4cm, weight 21g/0.67ozt gross all-in approx See: Reckless, J (2022).
