A very atmospheric, original oil on-canvas painting by the Irish artist Marcel Lindsay, titled "Ireland's Eye". The artist has skillfully captured Ireland's uninhabited island off the coast of Dublin in deep shades of navy blue and charcoal grey. Signed bottom right, dated to 2021 and housed in a high quality box frame.
Lindsay (b.1968), is a Dublin born artist who took up painting in 2018 following a holiday to West Cork. Working primarily in acrylic and pen, his paintings powerfully capture the mood and colour of the sea, allowing the Dublin coastline to feed the narrative of his work.
