1840 1d black, Plate 2 (GH), just touched to good margins as the adhesive was torn from the sheet, on cover to Ayr, cancelled by crimson Kilwinning Maltese cross, backstamped by orange boxed arrival hs for DE 23 1840; vertical filing folds clear of the adhesive but still a very presentable item.
