A RARE ROYAL DOULTON BOY ON A CROCODILE, known as HN373 but lacks factory mark and an HN number, boy's foot painted 51 to the underside, the crocodile's belly faintly incised '199.' and '5.19', length 38cm x height 13cm, Provenance: family had connections with the Potteries in the early 20th Century (condition: fitted with metal reins which have been tied together in the hand on the cherub's lap, sections of the reins have remnants of a perished rubber coating, both the cherubs knees have stained hairlines, crocodiles front left claw has a tiny chip)
