1885 Pattern Cavalry Trooper's Sword
34 1/4 inch, single edged, slightly curved blade with large fuller. Forte with Ordnance stamps dated 86 and "Y.C". Steel bowl guard with rolled edge and cut out Maltese cross. Oval pommel. Checkered leather slab grips secured by five steel rivets. Contained in its steel scabbard with fixed hanging rings. Scabbard stamped "7.89. Y.O.X. 133". Sword with dark patina.
