Aircraft builder, craftsman, draughtsman and designer of Second World War Aircraft who worked alongside Sir Barnes Wallis in the design and production of the Upkeep Mine first used by 617 Squadron RAF on "Operation Chastise", the Dams Raid in May 1943. He also worked on the production and design pf the Tall Boy (12,000lb) and Grand slam (22,000lb) bombs invented by Barnes Wallis.
