1936-1940 AIR FRANCE CONCESSIONARY RATE GREETINGS CARDS: Group inc. North African frankings. 1936-37 period pair, used & unused, the former with 2 Fr franking from Paris to Santiago. The cards are inscribed "Air France dans tous les ciels" and depict a POTEZ 62. A similarly inscribed card, depicting an aircraft followed by lines of birds, is dated 3 Dec. 1939, franked 50c and flown from Tunisia to Paris; 5 Jan. 1939 card (depicting Dewoitine 338 & compass) flown from Casablanca to France franked with 50c Moroccan adhesive (used outside prescribed period) and 12 Jan. 1940 card flown from Casablanca to USA and franked 1 Fr. The card depicts an aircraft flying over a globe with flowers and Air France logo in lower half. (5 cards)
