A collection of three iron, steel and metal shares. The lot comprising a Stockton-on-Tees The Norton Iron Company Ltd., share certificate for £100, 1st December 1865, no. 171. The company is famous for the fact that it cast “Big Ben”, the bell for the clock of the Palace of Westminster in London, in 1856
which weighed 16 tons, The Standard Iron & Steel Company Limited, share certificate for £40, 1876, no 2132 and The Widnes Metal Company Limited, share certificate for £100, 13rd May, 1869. Framed in wooden frame. Largest measures approx. 29cm x 40cm.
