John Gunn (1801-1890), was a geologist and vicar of Barton Turf, Norfolk, and in 1830 married Harriet Turner, daughter of the Norfolk antiquary Dawson Turner. This scarce work summarises his palaeontological and geological discoveries in North Norfolk between 1840 and 1887, in an area latterly dubbed Norfolk's "Deep History Coast"
