5 books c 1860 by Robert S Surtees - Mr Sponge’s Sporting Tour, Mr Romford’s Hounds, Ask Mama, Hawbuck Grange & Plain or Ringlets. All with matching very high quality original leather bindings and each measuring 22.5cm x 16cm x 3.25cm deep appx.
Very minor damage to a couple of pages of one book (Mr Sponge’s Sporting Tour), where 2 pages have become stuck to each other, and there is very slight paper damage, plus two further pages of text stuck together. A further book, Mr Romfords Hounds has 2 pages stuck and minor damage. Includes dozens of coloured steel engravings by HK Browne, WT Maud, John Leach, and numerous illustrations.
