A rare early 19th Century Board of Ordnance regulation coastguard / customs officer's 1831 Pattern flintlock pistol, the 4 1/2 round barrel with flat top and bead fore-sight, struck with proof marks, the step-tailed lock stamped TOWER and Crown GR, with slide safety, the full walnut stock with brass mounts, stamped with BO broad arrow mark to right side of grip (faint), the oval brass butt plate with steel lanyard ring, with steel swivel ramrod. 25cm long overall
