AN OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE WARMING STAND, C.1785. An unusual warming stand with turned wooden handles and feet. A very similar example appears in Fredrick Bradbury's History of Old Sheffield Plate on pp. 289. All appears to be complete and functional including the iron insert.
