Property of a deceased estate - William Hubbard (19th century) - 'SKETCHES IN CRAYFORD, KENT, AND ITS VICINITY' - an album of thirty-five watercolours, each with manuscript title, each approximately 14 by 9.5ins. (35.5 by 24cms.), with later loose tissue guards, the album with presentation inscription on the front free endpaper to Mrs. Wm. Reader from the artist, in marbled boards; together with his sketch book of watercolours & drawings dating from 1849 to 1868, in tatty morocco covers (2). Provenance - Francis Woodland Reader (1864-1951), and thence by family descent.
