A scarce Edward VIII 1897 pattern Infantry officer’s sword, the Victorian blade 33”, etched with scrolled foliage and crowned “VR” cypher on each side, and maker’s name “Robt. Mole & Son, Birmingham, Makers to the War & India Officers”, with regulation pattern WM hilt and leather knot, in its GS mounted leather covered FS scabbard. GC, the blade retaining original polish (slight wear to scabbard leather). Probably a rehilted family blade. £300-400
