Derby born Dennis Allsop's playing career as Foret's goalkeeper lasted from the 1892 season to 1899.  He later played for Derby Junction FC.  In the 1901 Census he is listed as the publican of the Portland Arms Hotel, where he lived with his wife Mary, young son and daughter and Mrs Allsop's sister

Old filled chip on tip of spout. On the cover a chip under the rim and the teapot shaped finial with old repair to spout. No significant damage and no recent restortion
