A NEOCLASSICAL PATINATED BRONZE VASE

of bell-shaped krater form, the body decorated in relief with a Dionysian procession, including figures with wine and musical instruments, with twin mask head handles, on a stepped plinth base, 34cm high x 24cm diameter

Note: This urn takes inspiration from the Borghese Vase, a 1st century BC Athenian marble antiquity now in the Louvre Museum. It incorporates elements of the 'Bacchanalian' frieze. It is a much celebrated and repeated edition throughout 'The Grand Tour' era.
