AN OTTOMAN METAL EMBROIDERED HOLSTER CASE, 19TH - 20TH CENTURY
The central focus is an imperial tughra, the calligraphic monogram of the Ottoman Sultan, executed in relief. This monogram is framed by elaborate foliate and floral motifs, including laurel leaves and scrolling vines. The outer edge is finished with a thick, twisted bullion cord border.
