The early 20th century Chinese jadeite pendant, carved with a ladybird and peapods as auspicious symbols of longevity and wealth, was purchased by Grima in San Francisco. The pendant is illustrated in 'Andrew Grima, Royal Jeweller: A Career of Fifty Years 1946-1996', no. 56, and the design drawing in the 1991 Goldsmith's Hall 'Grima Retrospective' exhibition catalogue, p.62, no.124
Accompanied by report no. 28000 from the Gem & Pearl Laboratory, stating that the jadeite measuring approximately 73.0 x 34.6 x 8.5mm is natural, with no indications of treatment
