A WWI infantry 1897 pattern dress sword, for the Norfolk Yeomanry, inscribed to the grip 'Presented to Regtl Segt Major G Hudgell by Members Segts Mess On his Promotion to Commissioned Ranks. June 4th 1915. GR cypher under The Norfolk Yeomanry to top of guard above 1915, moulded decorative pommel, shagrin, wire bound grip, etched blade with GR cypher, marked C95J to the rib, and with leather scabbard, blade length 88cm, total length from blade tip to pommel 107cm, scabbard length 92cm.
