A MID VICTORIAN 18CT GOLD KEY WIND POCKET WATCH, London 1857, by Thomas Forrest, the gilt dial with raised Roman numerals to the chapter ring enclosing foliate engraving, the movement with blued steel screws and diamond end stone engraved with maker's name and 'Chronometer maker to the Admiralty', numbered 12274, in a triple hinged case with lift-off dust cover and 18ct cuvee, the back bright cut engraved with foliage on a cross hatched ground

Workings unknown, case and dial in excellent condition. Dial 4cms diameter, case 4.3cms. 75.6g gross including lift off metal cover which weighs 6.5g. With a poor Benseon case.
