Estimate

£100 - £200

Fees

A percussion cap muff or pocket pistol, 19th century, the 3" screw-off hexagonal barrel on brass frame with decorative engraving and knurled walnut grip, 19cm long overall (at fault)

More Information

The hammer can be moved to the half cock and full cock position, but in both cases does not move when the trigger is pulled. The trigger spring offers resistance, but the trigger does not appear to engage with the percussion lock. The lock casing shows some gaps around the edges. The barrel appears to be seized up and does not unscrew.
