A Bow porcelain kakiemon palette shell shaped dish in the 'Two Quail' pattern, mid 18th century circa 1760, of scallop form, unmarked, 19cm wide

The dish shows stained pinhole pits and frits throughout, with further larger pits and frits and the odd glazing fault to the underside. The rim shows the odd small glazed nibble and firing crack. The well shows minor surface wear including minor rubbing to the gilt highlights.
