Victorian silver mounted cut glass pepper mill, by John Grinsell & Sons, London 1893, with an ebony turning handle on top, the mill of inverted thistle shape, height 9.5cm
The base of the mill has dents and probable re-formed dents. The glass has the odd tiny chip on the extremities visible through a 10x loupe.
